John has been working in the field of architecture since 1964 and
received his professional license in 1981. His diversified career
has included health care, education, judicial, parking, residential,
retail, restaurants and food service, planning, parks & recreation,
offices, historic restoration and light industrial. Notable projects
include Lakeland Regional Medical Center Cancer Center, Hollis Garden
(Lakeland), Eye Express Visions Center (Winter Haven), A.G. Edwards
(Winter Haven), Historic Restoration of Lakeland’s old City
Hall (circa 1924), Historic Restoration Lake Region Hotel (Winter
Haven).
Special Achievements
46 year architectural career
– providing a nurturing office for dozens of high school and college students that were considering Architecture as a career
– providing pro-bono work for handicapped citizens of Polk County and for Lakeland Catholic elementary school students
– shooting par golf twice
– making it to retirement in May of this year.
Hobbies
Golf, travel, reading, show skiing, cooking and home projects.
